Shared Calendar Categories Not Syncing. The issue may be related to the outlook client. I have created three calendars which have been shared by email with the organisation i work at.
Enable the ‘send immediately when connected’ checkbox under the ‘send/receive’ section. Open outlook and go to file> options> advanced option.
We ran into something like this for a shared calendar a few years ago and ended up using codetwo catman to centralize categories/colors for users.
Remove the affected calendar (s) from outlook desktop.

This works correctly, we found the solution by going to modify each of the categories_list.xml files.
